The Cove was a pretty engaging documentary it served it purpose as a call to arms but I don’t actually believe the majority of it. It seemed a bit exaggerated and I still don’t actually see the harm. I assume it’s in how the dolphins were killed which was a little – barbaric, but if there is a serious problem or surplus of dolphins I don’t see why they can’t be poached or killed for resources. It’s romantic idea to protect dolphins because they’re cute and innocent looking but that’s far from reality. I don’t think killing them is the issue it’s about how and if they are easy to implement and cost effective. It’s a tough, sensitive issue and I felt like the documentary spent too much time trying to harp on the feeling of the audience instead of presenting things in a clear, logical and decisive manner – unfortunately the flaw in many of these “green” documentaries.
