Officially Extinct : The Western Black Rhino

Found this out just recently. Very sad. We could lose other species of Rhino if something isn’t done.

Unfortunately the subspecies of Black Rhino, according to the recent survey, was last seen in 2006. Now, there are none.

Another Rhino species that could be next is the Javan Rhino, only 40 to 60 remain.

A Javan rhino captured on camera in Vietnam's Cat Tien National Park, the last Javan rhinoceros in Vietnam was found dead in the park in April 2010

  1. It IS a shame! A species going extinct because of humanity is not my version of natural selection. I only hope that they can pull through and survive.
